AlQa'dah 24, 1436, Sep 8, 2015, SPA -- The Obama administration is "actively considering" ways to be more responsive to the global migrant crisis, including refugee resettlement, the White House said. National Security Council spokesman Peter Boogaard said the administration is in contact with countries in the Middle East and Europe over the influx of more than 350,000 people from the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Boogaard did not elaborate on specific measures being considered, but said they included "refugee resettlement." He noted that the United States has provided more than $4 billion in humanitarian assistance since the Syrian conflict started, and more than $1 billion this year.
