AlQa'dah 22, 1436, September 06, 2015, SPA -- England became the first side to qualify Euro 2016 with a 6-0 win at San Marino Saturday while Austria moved close to next summer's tournament in France and European champions Spain stayed on track with victories Saturday. Wayne Rooney equalled Sir Bobby Charlton's record of 49 England goals as England routed San Marino to make it seven wins out of a seven. Austria defeated Moldova 1-0 to go seven points clear of Sweden in Group G with three games remaining, after the Swedes slipped to a 1-0 defeat against Russia in Moscow. Austria now visit Sweden on Tuesday needing a point to make absolutely sure of a place in France next summer. Rooney put England on their way in San Marino by opening the scoring from the spot, and a Cristian Brolli own goal and goals from Ross Barkley, substitutes Theo Walcott (2) and Harry Kane completed the scoring. Switzerland scored three late goals to beat Slovenia 3-2 in Basel to put themselves in a strong position behind England for Euro 2016. After trailing to goals from Milivoje Novakovic and Bostjan Cesar, Josip Drmic scored in the 80th minute for the Swiss, Valentin Stocker levelled four minutes later and Drmic struck the winner four minutes into stoppage time. The Swiss move to 15 points, six behind England before their visit to Wembley Tuesday, but with a five-point lead over Estonia, who beat Lithuania 1-0. Slovenia are a point further behind ahead of Estonia's visit Tuesday to Maribor. In Moscow, Russia kept their hopes alive with a 1-0 victory over Group G rivals Sweden courtesy of a goal from Artem Dzyuba. Russia advance to 11 points, one behind Sweden, while leaders Austria got the points in Vienna against Moldova thanks to a 52nd-minute goal from Zlatko Junuzovic. Montenegro beat Liechtenstein 2-0 in the group.
