New measures for French farmers declared

AlQa'dah 19, 1436, Sep 3, 2015, SPA -- French farmers drove their tractors and trucks in to
Paris on Thursday to protest at what they see as impossible market
conditions, prompting Prime Minister Manuel Valls to declare new
measures to protect the country's agriculture sector, dpa reported.
Umbrella union FNSEA estimated that 1,733 tractors drove into the
city, while a police spokeswoman said officials put the number at
1,580.
