AlQa'dah 16, 1436, August 31, 2015, SPA -- Hundreds of refugees stranded in Budapest boarded trains to Western Europe Monday, as police in Hungary, Austria and Germany made clear that they would not or could not stop the inflow, dpa reported. In the morning, police in Budapest stopped preventing refugees from boarding trains to Western Europe. Hundreds took trains to Austria, a gateway to Germany, which has said it would accept all asylum applications from Syrians instead of sending them back to the first EU country they entered. Two trains were stopped in the Hungarian town of Hegyeshalom at the border with Austria, where police searched for people who already applied for asylum in Hungary and who were therefore not allowed to travel on. However, hundreds arrived at Vienna's Westbahnhof station, where onward trains to Germany quickly filled with refugees and migrants from Syria, Afghanistan and other countries. Austrian railway employees forced many travelers off the trains to prevent dangerous overcrowding and asked them to take later connections. Austrian police turned out in force at the station but made no visible effort to register any migrants or block their journey.
