AlQa'dah 11, 1436, August 26, 2015, SPA -- A safari guide was killed by a lion in Zimbabwe's Hwange National Park, the same wildlife reserve where the lion Cecil was shot illegally by a US tourist, the national parks management authority said Tuesday, according to dpa. Quinn Swales was tracking a pride of two male and two female lions with cubs during a walking safari with six foreign guests on Monday. One male lion, who was wearing a tracking collar and named Nxaha, attacked and killed the 40-year-old guide, the park said. The killing comes just a few weeks after the death of Cecil, a wild lion with a black mane popular among locals and tourists, sparked global outrage. Minnesota dentist Walter James Palmer allegedly paid 50,000 dollars for the hunt.
