AlQa'dah 11, 1436, August 26, 2015, SPA -- A third day of heavy rain forced the evacuation of 300 people from their homes as floodwaters rose Wednesday on coastal villages 200 kilometres south of Sydney, according to dpa. Emergency services reported rescuing 57 people stranded by the waters and warned that an earthen dam threatened to break after the region was deluged by 360 millimetres of rain in 30 hours. Much of the coastal towns of Sussex Inlet and Sanctuary Point have been evacuated, with people taking refuge in a bowling club. More rain is expected throughout Wednesday, and it could be Friday before people can return to their homes to begin the clean up.
