AlQa'dah 08, 1436, August 23, 2015, SPA -- Malaysian security forces discovered 24 bodies of suspected trafficked Bangladeshi and Rohingya migrants in graves in a village near the Thai border, a state police chief said Sunday, according to dpa. Shafie Ismail, police chief of Perlis, said human remains have been sent to hospital for post-mortem examination. "The bodies were discovered Saturday in Wang Burma village," he said, adding that the remains recovered were in an advance state of decomposition. Shafie said the area where the 24 bodies were discovered were adjacent to the village where more than 100 remains of suspected Myanmar Rohingya and Bangladeshi migrants were recovered in May. He said the remains were discovered by patrolling troops after rains during the past few days washed away the soil. Shafie said operations in the border areas with Thailand to stop human traffickers and other criminals would continue.
