AlQa'dah 2, 1436, Aug 17, 2015, SPA -- The bodies of 49 migrants presumed to have died from asphyxiation in the hold of a stranded boat on the weekend arrived at the Sicilian port of Catania on Monday, dpa reported. The Italian navy on Saturday assisted a distressed vessel some 33 kilometers off the coast of Libya. In addition to the deceased, the navy rescued 312 survivors, among them 45 women and three children. Catania prosecutors opened an investigation into the deaths.
