AlQa'dah 01, 1436, August 16, 2015, SPA -- Tropical Storm Goni brought flooding and power loss to Guam, but conditions are improving as the storm moves on, according to AP. The Pacific Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/1HPUoL1 ) that by Sunday most flooding had been cleared and roads were safe to travel. Power has been restored, but some residents on the southern part of the island are still waiting for water. Guam Waterworks Authority spokeswoman Heidi Ballendorf says there are no power problems at the water plant but officials can't release water until they are able to test it. She says rain is currently making that impossible at the Ugum Water Treatment Plant, so the company is trying to send residents in Malojloj, Merizo and Inarajan water from the north. Officials say any additional rainfall could trigger more flooding.
