Pyongyang denied Friday that it was responsible for landmines that exploded on the South Korean side of the Demilitarized Zone, dpa quoted a media report as saying. The three landmines detonated on August 4, injuring two South Korean soldiers carrying out a routine patrol. Seoul blamed Pyongyang for the blasts. It did "not make sense" for North Korea to plant the landmines, Pyongyang's National Defence Commission said, the Yonhap News Agency reported.
