The state-owned Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corp has fired about 300 employees, dpa quoted chairman Gibson Munyoro as saying Thursday. The cuts represent one-third of its staff and come as the government seeks to cut its wage costs. "This is part of our restructuring, which affects all redundant structures and activities, such as canteen and cleaning," Munyoro said. "We have closed them with immediate effect."
