Jubeir stressed that they are not coping with the size and status of the two countries, hence a joint decision has been taken to boost relations in various fields. Regarding the situation in Syria, Al-Jubeir said that despite divergence in the points of view between the two countries on the Syrian Crisis, there is convergence towards the importance of uniting the ranks of the Syrian opposition, reaffirming that the Kingdom's stance towards Syria will not change, as it is based on Geneva I Declaration, and that there are no future role for Al-Asad, and that it is important to preserve the Syrian state institutions. Al-Jubeir pointed out that any expectations, statements or remarks regarding Saudi Arabia's wavering stance towards Syria are null and void.
