The Kingdom Saudi Arabia's record of donors of stem cells in King Abdullah International Centre for Medical Research of Health Affairs in the Ministry of National Guard has succeeded in attracting more than 10,000 donors of stem cells until now, thanks to the intensive campaigns organized in various regions of the Kingdom to raise awareness of the role of the donor in saving the lives of a number of people with incurable diseases. The Saudi record has recently celebrated the number 1194 registered donors in another awareness campaign organized in Qatif Governorate in the Eastern Region, along with performing four operations of stem cells. King Abdullah International Centre for Medical Research launched the Saudi record of the donors of stem cells in 2011 to provide data for patients with intractable diseases. The Saudi record is the first Arab one of its kind in the Middle East because of the lack of any Arab record of stem cells in the region, despite the presence of 60 records in the world with more than 16 million donors. -- SPA 12:02 LOCAL TIME 09:02 GMT تغريد
