Manchester United beat Tottenham 1-0 in the opening game of the Premier League season on Saturday.
An own goal from Kyle Walker was the difference at Old Trafford, dpa reported.
It came in the 22nd minute when the Spurs defender poked the ball past goalkeeper Michel Vorm as he tried to knock it away from United's Wayne Rooney.
