Thirteen bodies found on a migrant boat off the coast of Libya were being brought to shore along with 522 survivors, the Italian coast guard said Tuesday, according to dpa. The Irish navy vessel, part of the European Union's Triton mission, intervened on Monday, Italian authorities said. It was one of five separate operations carried out during the day, which led to 1,810 migrants being rescued at sea. A Swedish navy vessel and the medical charity Doctors Without Borders took part in the operations.
