Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) began renovating Abu Gabal archaeological mosque located in the historical area in Amlaj province. The renovation of the mosque is being implemented according to its old style of building with mud and stones extracted from the sea and some of the mountains surrounding the province. Based on the mosque's traditional style, the design of its roofs, windows and doors are being crafted to reflect the architectural character of the province.
