Thailand and Vietnam agreed to nearly double bilateral trade after talks in Bangkok on Thursday, dpa reported. Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha and Vietnamese Premier Nguyen Tan Dung pledged to increase trade to 20 billion dollars by 2020, from 11.8 billion dollars in 2014. The two leaders also issued a joint statement calling for a resolution to the ongoing territorial disputes in the South-China Sea. It called for a code of conduct to guide future talks on the sensitive issue.
