Chairman and General Director of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah has eulogized the late Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Saud Al-Faisal who passed away. Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij, in a statement to KUNA, said the deceased had led the Kingdom's foreign policy since 1975. "He was one of the most prominent stallions of Arab and Islamic diplomacy," he said. Prince Saud Al-Faisal had served in the foreign affairs ministry at times the region was witnessing hard conditions related to the cold war, the Palestinian issue, the Iraq-Iranian war, the Iraqi aggression on Kuwait and the war on terrorism, he stated. The deceased had played a major role in preparing for liberation of Kuwait from the Iraqi occupation in 1991, he added.
