Three people died and one was injured after a shooting near the Baltimore campus of the University of Maryland Tuesday night, UPI reported. Two vans pulled up to the side of a road and one person emerged from each van before opening fire at a group of people on a street corner. "A male and female were both transported to an area hospital where despite medical attempts, they succumbed to their injuries," Detective Rashawn K. Strong of the Baltimore Police Department said in a statement. "The second male was pronounced deceased at the scene." There is no immediate indication that the victims were students at the campus.
