Burundi is considering postponing the July 15 presidential election after East African leaders said it could not be held amid protests against President Pierre Nkurunziza's bid for a third term, a spokesman for the presidency said Tuesday, according to dpa. "The government is willing to listen to this request, because we want everybody to go into this election satisfied," Willy Nyamitwe said. The East African Community (EAC) held an emergency summit in Tanzania on Monday, calling on the government to postpone the election to July 30 because of the unrest.
