FIFA president Joseph Blatter has increased speculation over his future by saying he has not resigned from position at the scandal-hit world football governing body, dpa reported. "I have not resigned," Blatter told the Swiss paper Blick in comments published Friday. "Rather I have made my mandate available at an extraordinary congress." Blatter was reelected for a fifth term as FIFA president at the congress on May 29 but seemingly stepped back just four days later on June 2 in light of Swiss and American investigations into FIFA corruption. Blick reported that Blatter, speaking at an event promoting the FIFA museum which will open in 2016, was in high spirits despite his seemingly precarious situation.
