President Abdulfattah Al-Sisi of Egypt received a telephone call from his Cyprus counterpart Nicos Anastasiades. Alaa Yousef, the Egyptian presidential spokesman, said in a statement today that during the conversation, the two leaders discussed the overall developments at the regional arena and reviewed ways of pushing peace efforts in the Middle East forward in addition to supporting international efforts exerted to combat terrorism. He said the talks also tackled the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in all fields, particularly the political and economic fields, citing the arrangement reached during the recently-held tripartite summit by between Egypt, Cyprus and Greece in a way that supports the partnership between the three countries for the sake of enhancing peace and stability in the Middle East.
