The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt agree on visions regarding Yemeni and Syrian issues. The two countries also agree on continuing bilateral coordination at various levels. Saudi Arabia and Egypt stressed that they are keen on enhancing bilateral relations in a way that serves the interest of the two countries and their peoples. This came in a press conference held by Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir and Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry following their meeting in Cairo today. Al-Jubeir stressed that Saudi and Egyptian visions regarding Yemeni and Syrian issues are close to each other, adding that the two countries are seeking to remove Bashar Al-Assad from power after he lost his legitimacy, and are seeking to restore peace and stability in Syria. Al-Jubeir also said that the two countries are seeking to protect the government and military institutions in Syria to be able to deal with the challenges after the Assad regime. Regarding Yemeni issue, Al-Jubeir addressed the efforts to continue political negotiations and to solve Yemeni crisis, saying that we support any effort that aims at finding peaceful solution to the crisis in Yemen; we also support any effort that increases humanitarian aid for the Yemeni people.
