The three Argentinian TV and marketing businessmen wanted by US investigators in connection with the ongoing FIFA corruption scandal were on the run Thursday after an Argentinian judge rejected their request to be exempted from prison, dpa reported. Alejandro Burzaco, head of the sports TV network Torneos y Competencias, and Hugo and Mariano Jinkis of the marketing firm Full Play had fiied the request with federal judge Marcelo Martinez de Giorgi. The US Justice Department issued an arrest warrant and extradition request as part of a case announced Wednesday. The three men face racketeering charges in connection with the bribery scandal that led to the arrests of seven FIFA officials Wednesday in Zurich.
