German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble warned ahead of a meeting on Thursday of the world's top financial officials of the threat posed to the global economy's return to sustainable growth by a buildup of debt, dpa reported. "We have set out our approach : structural reforms are the key to success for sustainable growth; debt levels, however, are an impediment to growth," Schaeuble told dpa. He was speaking ahead of the formal launch on Thursday of a two-daym meeting of Group of Seven (G7) finance ministers and central bankers in the eastern German city of Dresden. The ministers are to be joined at their opening session by leading academics for a discussion on the outlook for the global economy.
