Jasser said. He stressed that the Kingdom was keen in its environmental policies to introduce the concepts of sustainable development, and bolster these concepts at all levels. It also developed national legislations, strategies and plans to achieve it. Others who spoke at the conference included Dr. Abdurrahman bin Mohammed Al Ibrahim, Governor of the General Establishment for Water Desalination, Dr. Abdurrahman Al-Awadhi, the Executive Director of the Regional Organization for the Protection of the Marine Environment. In its meetings on Monday and Tuesday, the forum is scheduled to tackle a number of important topics which include reviewing international experiences of efficient use of resources, issues of water and wastewater management, medical waste management, Eco-friendly technology and developing sustainable and effective strategy to monitor emissions.
