Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) have signed Memoranda of Understanding in the city of Amman, whereas first party will provide an amount of $111.50 million to the second party. Vice President of the Saudi Fund for Development and Managing Director Eng. Yousef bin Ibrahim Al-Bassam signed for his country while Pierre K. signed for UNRWA. The amount will be allocated to finance various projects in five areas of the Agency's operations as follows: $10 million for the rehabilitation and support facilities, health and educational services of in Jordan, Lebanon and support the basic needs of Palestinian refugees in Syria, $15 million dollars for the reconstruction of camp the old Nahr al-Bared for the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, $74 million for the reconstruction and repair of housing units and establishment and preparing supply depot and supporting the health and education sectors in the Gaza Strip, and $12.5 million for reconstruction and renovation of schools in the Jordan Valley and housing units in Al-Quds area in the West Bank.
