Nine people are dead and seven are still missing Friday after a nine-storey residential building partially collapsed in south-west China. A rain-triggered landslide led to the collapse of large sections of an apartment complex in Guiyang, the capital city of Guizhou province on Wednesday. More than 100 firefighters and soldiers were combing the debris with sniffer dogs and life detectors to find the seven missing people, dpa quoted the city government as saying Friday. More than 1,000 residents from 333 households in nearby buildings were evacuated after the accident.
