The Foreign Ministers Council of Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC) will hold its 42nd session entitled "Joint vision for the promotion of tolerance and the rejection of terrorism'' in Kuwait on May 27-28 amid sensitive and important developments in the region, especially the situations in Palestine, Syria, Yemen and Libya. The session will discuss the situations of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar; and the Ministerial Contact Group of the Organization for Myanmar will hold a meeting on the sidelines of the Council to discuss the latest developments of the situation there. Mali Contact Group also will hold a meeting at a ministerial level to discuss the recent developments of the peace process in Mali. The session will witness a meeting for the Ministerial Contact Group to discuss the latest developments in Somalia, the support for steps of development and reconstruction, and a special session for brainstorming the discussion of ways to develop an effective strategy to combat terrorism, violent extremism and Islamophobia. In addition to the political decisions, it is expected the approval of many decisions in economic, social, cultural, humanitarian, scientific and technological fields as well as discussing conflict issues in the Muslim world and combating international terrorism, Islamophobia and defamation of image of religions, general organizational and institutional matters, and 10 Years Work Program.
