Japanese relations through cultural programs and others, Prince Mohammed bin Saud bin Khalid stressed the importance of setting up a center or an institutional framework in the two countries, noting that this is what he will present to the forum, and welcoming Japanese journalists' visits to the Kingdom. With regard to the issue of Yemen, he said that Yemen is a sister and a neighboring state to our country which is leading the way in helping Yemen and its people since old time, but the problem lies in the intervention of some regional countries for the benefit of a Yemen minority that wants to impose its control over the political consensus which was approved by Yemenis. He explained that Houthis rejected all of what they had previously agreed upon, such as the Gulf Cooperation Council initiative and the outputs of the peace and national dialogue conference, and turned against the legitimacy in Yemen, threatening the borders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States. He added that after all of this and at the request of the legitimate president of Yemen, the Kingdom and the Coalition countries responded to the call of the legitimate president of Yemen. In a speech on this occasion, Saudi Ambassador to Japan Ahmed al-Barak welcomed Prince Mohammed bin Saud bin Khalid stressing strength of Saudi-Japanese relations.
