Guatemalan authorities have arrested five lawyers who allegedly bribed a judge to free suspects jailed in a multimillion-dollar customs graft scheme. Prosecutors and a U.N. commission that investigated the case say the attorneys paid Judge Marta Sierra Stalling to release the three suspects on bail. Authorities said Friday they were revoking bail and seeking to lift Sierra Stalling's judicial immunity in order to launch an investigation, according to AP. Several dozen people have been implicated in the customs scandal, which involved officials taking bribes to charge lower customs duties. The suspects include the current and former tax chiefs and Vice President Roxana's former private secretary. -- SPA 23:04 LOCAL TIME 20:04 GMT تغريد
