Four people were injured when a freight train derailed in northern Texas on Friday, with high winds and flooding likely causing it to leave the tracks, a company spokesman said. The BNSF train was carrying a non-hazardous mix of freight, and 17 cars derailed, said spokesman Joe Faust. The derailment happed about 80 kilometers north of Fort Worth, and the injured people are BNSF workers. "The employees have been treated and released from the hospital," Faust said. The company has crews at the derailment site and is working to restore service on the railway. The south-central United States has experienced severe weather this week, including high winds, heavy rains, and tornadoes.
