Korea Muslim Federation has recently organized the First Quran Memorization Contest in cooperation with the Holy Quran Memorization International Organization. As many as 80 competitors participated in the contest which was held in the Islamic Center in Seoul. A speech ceremony was held on this occasion where speakers highlighted the importance of learning the Holy Quran and praised Saudi Arabia's efforts in serving the Holy Quran. The ceremony was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Korea Ahmed bin Younis Al-Barrak and a number of officials.
