Pakistan welcomed the UN Security Council resolution issued on the Yemeni crisis and considered it matches with its position on the crisis. Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam said, in a statement released today, that Pakistan welcomed the UN Security Council resolution, which came at the initiative of the Gulf Cooperation Council, noting that it complies with Pakistan's proposal to maintain the unity and sovereignty of Yemeni territory, and defend the legitimate government of Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, and condemn the actions of the rebels. She added that Pakistan called for the need to implement the UN Security Council resolution in all of its provisions as soon as possible to contain the Yemeni crisis.
