Airbus says it is ready to manufacture helicopters, satellites and military transport planes in India, AP reported. The European planemaker made the announcement Saturday after a visit by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to its headquarters in Toulouse in southern France. Airbus Group CEO Tom Enders said in a statement "we are ready to manufacture in India, for India and the world," including final assembly lines and supply chains. The company didn't give details of potential expansion in India, where it currently has engineering centers and a research facility. Modi's visit to France has also produced contracts in energy, transport and space exploration and an announcement Friday of plans in the works to buy 36 Rafale fighter jets. He heads next to Germany and Canada.
