The Pakistani government affirmed that it is in continuing contacts with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and monitoring the situation in Yemen closely. The Undersecretary of Pakistani Foreign Ministry Izaz Ahmed Chowdhury said in a press conference here yesterday that any threat to the safety of the Kingdom will be a source of great concern for Pakistan. He added, "Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif discussed the latest developments with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in a telephone call on Friday evening, stressing that the Kingdom is the land of the Two Holy Mosques and its security is very important for Pakistan. He pointed out that Pakistan has developed a comprehensive plan for the evacuation of its nationals stranded in Yemen.
