Sheikh, Jumada II 8, 1436, Mar 28, 2015, SPA -- Addressing the meeting, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, highlighted the importance of finding a peaceful solution to the Palestinian problem, based on the two-state proposal, including an independent Palestinian state with Eastern Al-Quds as capital according to relevant international resolutions. He drew the attention to the growing phenomenon of terrorism, relating it to a number of accumulating factors, among them the despair of many losers in the non-development modernization process of their countries. On the situation in Yemen, he said the recent coup masterminded by Houthi group and former president of Yemen Ali Abdullah Saleh have dealt a serious blow to the GCC- UN-sponsored proposal of power-sharing in Yemen, sending the country to the bottom of square one. He held the Houthi group and Saleh responsible of the repercussions of the recent escalation.
