Asian Cup 2019 Awarded to UAE

The 2019 Asian Cup will be held in the United Arab Emirates, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) said Monday after a meeting of its executive committee in Manama, Bahrain.
The UAE will host the competition for the second time having previously held the event in 1996, dpa reported.
The 2015 edition in Australia in January, won by the hosts, is to be the last tournament of 16 teams. In the UAE in 2019 it will increase to 24.
