Fighting extremism with disproportionate policies violates human rights, thus undermining the values that have been holding together global security, UN rights chief Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein said Thursday in Geneva. "Terrorist attacks cannot destroy the values on which our societies are grounded - but laws and policies can," the UN high commissioner for human rights said.
