Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi on Saturday reopened the national museum in central Baghdad, almost 12 years after it was looted in the wake of 2003. Around one-third of an estimated 15,000 artefacts stolen from the museum, according to Iraqi officials. The Tourism Ministry said the reopening of the Baghdad Museum was a "reply" to IS's campaign of destruction in the northern city of Mosul, dpa reported. -- SPA 19:56 LOCAL TIME 16:56 GMT تغريد
