The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today warned that the Arab region is witnessing unprecedented dangers and threats which led to the loss of security and stability in a number of countries and threatens others in the region, noting that such threats would not be confronted by a single country whatever its capabilities. He refuted the terrorists claim of belonging to Islam or planning to enforce Sharia law, citing their flagrant violations of human rights in the name of Islam. He gave an account on Saudi Arabia's record in fighting terrorism with excellent performance. On the other hand, he confirmed that peace and stability would never be achieved through piling mass destruction weapons or threatening neighboring countries or using force or interfering in others internal affairs, but through cooperation, building of confidence, consolidating the ties of understanding and friendship among peoples and taking into consideration the interests and security concerns of neighbors. In this regard, he said that Iran will have the right to obtain atomic energy for peaceful usage under UN complete supervision and according to the international required standards embargoing the production of nuclear weapons. He concluded that Arab countries should go for constructive cooperation in the political, economic and security fields, as per the Arab League charter and other bilateral cooperation agreements between Arab countries.
