The U.S.-led coalition battling ISIS launched eight airstrikes in Syria and seven in Iraq against the militant group since early Thursday, the Combined Joint Task Force said Friday. According to a statement from the task force, the strikes near al Raqqah, Kobani, and Dayr az Zawr in Syria hit a number of armored vehicles used by ISIS as well as two units of fighters, among other targets. The statement said that the airstrikes near al Asad, Mosul, and Sinjar in Iraq hit five units of ISIS fighters, three buildings, three fighting positions as well as other targets.
