Militant group al-Shabaab killed a Somali parliamentarian in a drive-by shooting, police said Monday. It was the group's first attack on a politician this year. In 2014, al-Shabaab killed at least five lawmakers in Somalia. Abdullahi Qayaad was killed inside his car in the Hamarjajab district of the capital, Mogadishu, on Monday morning, according to police capatain Mohamed Dahir. "The lawmaker was alone, and he was on his way to parliament's hall at the time of the attack," Dahir told dpa.
