Greece said it will not cooperate with the troika of international creditors and comply with its austerity programme, new finance minister Yanis Varoufakis told Jeroen Dijsselbloem, the head of eurozone finance ministers' group, on Friday, dpa reported. "We refuse to work with the three-partite commission which is not even recognized by the European Parliament," Varoufakis told a clearly shocked Dijsselbloem. He was referring to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which together with the European Commission and European Central Bank have been responsible for overseeing Greece's bailout programme since 2010. Varoufakis said Greece will also not seek an extension to the bailout programme. "Our first action as a government will not be to reject the rationale of questioning this programme through a request to extend it." -- SPA 20:16 LOCAL TIME 17:16 GMT تغريد
