More than 60 Taliban fighters were killed in a clearance operation by security forces in northern Afghanistan that ended Sunday, dpa cited police as saying. "The joint operation by the national army, national police and the national directorate of security [intelligence agency] was held earlier this week in Imam Saheb district," said Sayed Sarwar Hossaini, police spokesman in Kunduz province. "In this operation, 63 insurgents have been killed and around 50 injured," Hossaini said.
