Based on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's refusal of all forms and manifestations of terrorism, whatever its motives or those who stand behind it, in addition to the Kingdom's denunciation and condemnation of the heinous terrorist attack on the French magazine "Charlie Hebdo" which resulted in killing many people as well as the Kingdom's keenness of participation in the march of solidarity against terrorism in Paris within framework of international solidarity to confront terrorism which is rejected by Islam and principles and legislations of all international laws, the official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated:
"The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia surprised and deplored at the same time the continuation of the newspaper" Charlie Hebdo" in mocking Islam and the personality of the Prophet of Guidance and Mercy -peace be upon him-. The Kingdom does not find any justification for such deliberate abuse against Islam, which provokes feelings of billion and half billion Muslims around the world."
"The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stresses that responsible freedom of opinion and expression is not justify insulting religious beliefs. From this point, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia called to stay away from sedition and grudges against Islam and Muslims and against any divine religions in addition not to insult the prophets and messengers," the source added.
"The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia emphasizes its firm stance in combating phenomenon of terrorism and deviant thought, expressing its understanding of the procedures taken by the French government to maintain France's national unity," the official source concluded.
