German immigration has hit a two-decade high in the wake of the liberalization of Europe's labour market, dpa reported. The number of immigrants relocating to Europe's biggest economy climbed from 1.08 million in 2012 to 1.23 million in 2013 - its highest level since 1992 - according to Germany's annual migration report released on Wednesday. "Germany is the most attractive nation for immigrants in the European Union," said Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere, with more than 75 per cent of the immigrants coming from EU states.
