Channel Tunnel closed after lorry fire

All train services in the Channel Tunnel, which links Britain to continental Europe, has been stopped after a lorry caught fire near the French end of the connector, according to the company and British officials Saturday, according to dpa.
"We are sorry, but we are unable to run any further trains today
because Eurotunnel has been closed due to smoke detected in the north
tunnel," read a statement from Groupe Eurotunnel SA.
The disruption meant all trains were returning to their original
stations, potentially stranding hundreds of travelers on either side
of the English Channel.
