The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Arab States and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) started works of their first meeting here today to coincide with the proximity of the application of the signed free trade agreement between them. It is expected that this agreement shall be effective as of the middle of 2015. The meeting's agenda included the exchange of documents relating to the application of the agreement in the context of the completion of the last steps to begin its implementation among other issues. It is worth mentioning that EFTA bloc consists of four European countries: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.
