U.S. President Barack Obama Friday selected David Cohen to be the number two in command at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Cohen is currently the Treasury Department's undersecretary for terrorism and financial intelligence. He has been the architect of the Obama administration's economic sanctions against Russia, Iran, and North Korea. Cohen will replace outgoing CIA Deputy Director Avril Haines. Obama has named Haines as his deputy national security adviser in the White House.
